নয়াদিল্লি, ১১ নভেম্বরঃ প্রয়াত দেশের প্রাক্তন মুখ্য নির্বাচন কমিশনার টিএন শেষন। রবিবার রাতে শেষ নিশ্বাস ত্যাগ করেন তিনি। মৃত্যুকালে তাঁর বয়স হয়েছিল ৮৬ বছর। নির্বাচন কমিশনে একাধিক সংস্কার করেছিলেন তিনি। ১৯৯০ সাল থেকে ১৯৯৬ সাল পর্যন্ত নির্বাচন কমিশনার হিসেবে দায়িত্ব গ্রহণ করেন। তাঁর মৃত্যুতে গভীর শোকপ্রকাশ করেছেন প্রধানমন্ত্রী নরেন্দ্র মোদি, মুখ্যমন্ত্রী মমতা বন্দ্যোপাধ্যায় সহ দেশের প্রথম সারির রাজনীতিকরা।
